Mini-Baccarat, a smaller version of American Style Baccarat, offers some unique betting options. In this game the player has the choice of betting either the bank, player or tie areas (or any combination). The most common strategy is to bet in one area.

Object Of The Game

The object of the game is for the position chosen to be closer to the total of 9 than the other hand, and thereby the winner.

How To Play

  • The game is begun by placing a bet on either the Banker's or Player's hand. You may also bet the tie which pays 8 to 1 odds.
  • Two cards are dealt from a shoe to each hand. The first hand representing those betting on the Player, the second on the Banker. A third card may be dealt to either hand in accordance with the rules shown in the table below.
  • The point value of the hand is determined by adding the cards.
  • Aces are counted as 1 point.
  • Cards 2-9 counted at face value.
  • Tens and face cards equal 0.
For example: A five(5) and a four(4) equal nine (a "natural 9"). If your total is over 9, then the left digit is dropped and the right digit will be the point value of the hand. For example: An eight (8) and a seven (7) total 15. The left digit is dropped, and the point total is now five (5).
  • Bets are paid even money, but a 5% commission is charged on winning Banker bets. A bet on a tie hand pays 8 to 1.
